PURPOSE: To obtain the potential stability and sensitivity at the time of repetitive use by incorporating a specific tetraazaporphyrin deriv. and specific tetraazaporphyrin metal complex salt deriv. into a photosensitive layer.

CONSTITUTION: At least one kind of the tetraazaporphyrin deriv. expressed by the formula I and the tetraazaporphyrin metal complex salt deriv. expressed by the formula II are incorporated into the photosensitive layer. In the formulas I, II, A denotes a halogen atom, alkyl group, etc., as a substituent; M denotes a metal atom selected from aluminum, silicon, etc.; Y denotes a halogen atom, hydroxyl group, etc.; n denotes 0, 1 or 2 integer. The photosensitive layer of a separated function type formed by using the photosensitive layer contg. the pigments expressed by the formulas I, II as a charge generating layer and laminating a charge transfer layer contg. a charge transfer material thereon is more particularly preferable as the form of the photosensitive layer. The extremely high sensitivity is obtd. in this way and the excellent potential stability at the time of repetitive use is obtd.
