Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC SENSITIVE BODY
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS642058
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To enhance sensitivity and potential stability of a photosensitive body for a long period by using a specified bisazo pigment.

CONSTITUTION: The photosensitive layer of the photosensitive body contains the disazo pigments represented by formula I in which each of A and A' is a phenolic coupler residue, preferably, such as formula II or III; each of Ar and Ar' is a divalent an aromatic hydrocarbon ring or aromatic heterocyclic ring; R1 is 1W3 C alkyl having ≥2 halogen groups or cyano; X is a residual group necessary to condense with a benzene ring and form a polycyclic aromatic or heterocyclic ring; each of R2 and R3 is H, alkyl, or the like; and R4 is H, aryl, or the like. The photosensitive layer can be composed of an electric charge generating layer containing said pigment and a charge transfer layer, and the charge generating layer can be formed by coating or vapor deposition.
