PURPOSE: To obtain an electrostatic charge image developing toner having an offset preventing effect without deteriorating low-temp. fixability by allowing a binder resin to have a structure wherein a linear polyester is occluded in the mesh of a crosslinked polyester.
CONSTITUTION: This electrostatic charge image developing toner consists essentially of a binder resin and a colorant. The binder resin is formed by compositing a linear polyester and a crosslinked polyester and has a structure wherein the linear polyester is occluded in the mesh of the cross-linked polyester. The binder resin is preferably produced by melting the linear polyester, then adding a cross-linkable polyester monomer and condensing the mixture while agitating it. The obtained resin has a structure wherein the linear polyester is occluded in the mesh of the cross-linked polyester. Consequently, the lowering of the melt viscosity of the cross-linked polyester is prevented without deteriorating the low-temp. fixability of the linear polyester.
