PURPOSE: To promote the utility efficiency of each elevator by providing a movable traverser in the horizontal direction to each floor of a solid parking device equipped with a plurality of elevators, and transferring a car between the elevator and each parking section by the traverser.

CONSTITUTION: Every each floor 3 of a solid parking device, a movable traverser 6 is provided in the horizontal direction, and connection is made between each elevator 4 and each parking section 2 through the traverser 6. In the case a car enters a car shed, it is moved to the traverser 6 from the elevator 4, and it is transferred to a vacant parking section 2 to enter the car shed. In the case of leaving the car-shed, the car is transferred to the traverser 6 in advance, and it is transferred to a leaving floor by using a first elevator 4 arriving thereupon. According to the constitution, the utility efficiency of the elevator can be enhanced.
