Abstract:
The present invention provides an abnormal state detection system for elevators, which is capable of detecting an abnormal state of an elevator without using a contactor and a conductive wire. This abnormal state detection system for an elevator is provided with: a CCD camera that is mounted to a balance weight of the elevator and that photographs a weight guide rail for guiding movement of the balance weight; an image processing device that detects a linear display on the surface of the weight guide rail from information about an image photographed by the CCD camera; and a control panel that determines an abnormality of the elevator on the basis of the image information detected by the image processing device.
