To provide an elevator apparatus capable of enhancing workability of maintenance and inspection work to a control board.
The control board 8 is prepared to be movable rotationally between a normal position erected nearly vertically on a control board support stand 7 and a maintenance and inspection position laid nearly horizontally. The maintenance and inspection work to a device for maintenance is done from a maintenance and inspection surface 8a side of the control board 8. The maintenance and inspection surface 8a is located at the back surface of a chassis 11 to face the hoistway wall 1a where the control board 8 is installed when the control board 8 is placed at the normal position. Meanwhile, the maintenance and inspection surface 8a is located at the upper surface of a chassis 11 to face upward when the control board 8 is placed at the maintenance and inspection position.
