To provide an elevator safety monitoring system capable of allowing a safety switch of the regular rated voltage to be used for a safety circuit with an inexpensive constitution, and reducing the labor and the time requested for the restoration work by a maintenance worker.
Safety circuits of a landing system safety circuit SC1, a car system safety circuit SC2 and a hoistway system safety circuit SC3 are connected to a safety circuit monitoring means 3. Since the elevator safety system is divided into three systems, the cable length for one system is reduced, and the voltage drop is also reduced. Thus, the safety switch of regular rating can be used for each system. When the safety circuit monitoring means 3 discriminates that there is some abnormal system, it outputs the elevator operation prohibition command and specifies the abnormal safety switch.
