PURPOSE: To provide an elevator system which incorporates supervising means for preventing an accident from occurring by passenger who lacks judging capacity such as an infant in an automatic elevator and specially in an elevator in residence.

CONSTITUTION: If an infant pushes a hall call button 3, contacts 3a are closed. When an elevator cage 2 arrives at the hall and only the infant enters into the cage 2 whtiout an operator, a high position detector 4 does not operte to retain open at contacts 11a and closed at contacts 11b. Since a passage detector 5 is operated to close contacts 5a, it energizes an entrance detector 12 to be self-held. If a cage call button 7 is not operated even after predetermined time has elapsed at a timer 12c, a controller 10 is operated.
