Abstract:
To provide an elevator that enables a passenger to easily ascertain the detection state of a noncontact sensor in cases where door-opening operation of a car door is performed in a noncontact manner by causing the noncontact sensor to detect a shield.SOLUTION: An elevator 10 is configured to enable noncontact door-opening operation of car doors 22A, 22B mounted on a car 22, and comprises: a door-opening sensor unit 35 that detects light shielding so that the door-opening operation of the car doors 22A, 22B is performed in a noncontact manner; a speaker SP that generates a sound to report the open/closed state of the car doors 22A, 22B; and a control device 46 that executes a door-opening mode to open the car doors 22A, 22B on the basis of the light-shielding detection of the door-opening sensor unit 35, and also causes the speaker SP to generate an intermittent sound during the door-opening mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
