To provide an encapsulated battery using an external material made of a flexible member, in which a bending process of an electrode conductive tab is not necessary and there is no winding distortion around a tab of a battery element.

In an encapsulated battery, a battery element which is manufactured by winding a band-shaped positive electrode and a band-shaped negative electrode that are laminated via a separator, is sealed by a flexible external material. On a part, which is to be positioned at the outermost art when the positive and the negative electrodes are wound, electrode conductive tabs are bonded, and there is no electrode conductive tab at the center part of the battery element.
