To provide an enclosed cell in which a deterioration in corrosion resistance of a hermetic sealing plate is suppressed by eliminating the heat effect in the sintering process of a glass constituting the hermetic sealing plate, and the sealability is enhanced by the structure thereof without worsening of workability of constituting parts.
The opening portion of a cell can which is formed in cylindrical shape with a bottom encasing an electrical generating element, is sealed with the hermetic sealing plate wherein an output terminal penetrates through the hermetic sealing plate, and is insulated and fixed via the glass to the plate. The hermetic sealing plate is formed of austenite stainless steel plate and nickel- plated steel plate. The glass can be sintered at a temperature of 770°C or less, and has a basic composition of an alkaline metal oxide/Al2O3/SiO2.
