Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain flexibility on the outer shape without being limited by the size of the space by constituting an encoder with multiple units, and providing signal output sections or signal input sections at multiple positions in different directions on one unit. CONSTITUTION:A detecting head 2 is made of one cabinet unit, and signal output sections 3a, 3b, 3c each made of a connector are provided at multiple positions in different directions. One signal output section is selected to output the signal on the moving speed of a moving object obtained by the head 2. A signal processing means 4 is made of one cabinet unit, and it converts and calculates the signal from the head 2 to obtain the moving state of a scale plate 1 and outputs it to a display section via a signal cable 6. An encoder is formed with two units, flexibility can be obtained on the outer shape without being limited by the size of the space of the detection region.
