Title:
ENCODING DEVICE AND DECODING DEVICE FOR SOUND MUSICAL SIGNAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3199020
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To clearly encode a sound source signal in each band by the small number of bits by using a position obtained by shifting the position of each pulse for regulating a multipulse signal, in a certain band for regulating a multipulse signal in another band.
SOLUTION: When the number of bands is defined as '2' e.g., a 1st pulse position generation circuit 110 generates a 1st pulse position vector /P=(P1, P2,...) by using the position of each pulse specified by an index outputted from a minimizing circuit 170 and outputs the generated vector to a 1st sound source generation circuit 20 and a 2nd pulse position generation circuit 111. The circuit 111 inputs the index outputted from the circuit 170 and the 1st pulse position vector /P outputted from the circuit 110, corrects the vector /P by using a pulse position correction value /di=(di1, di2,...) specified by the index and outputs the corrected vector to a 2nd sound source generation circuit 21 as a 2nd pulse position vector /Qt=(P1+di1, P2+di2,...).
