Abstract:
To provide a load sensing assembly for end effector force measurement with a digital drive circuit.SOLUTION: An actuation assembly 52 is coupled to a trocar member 50. A load sensing assembly 66 comprises: a sensor body disposed within a pocket; a load sensor circuit coupled to the sensor body; a signal processing circuit; and a cover disposed over the pocket and enclosing the load sensor circuit and the signal processing circuit, the cover being coupled to the sensor body thereby forming a first hermetic seal therebetween.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6A
