Abstract:
PURPOSE:To easily control the floating and curving directions of an insertion part by providing a nozzle which injects liquid movably in the circumferential direction of the insertion part and changing the circumference-directional position of the nozzle through the operation of the hand side of the endoscope. CONSTITUTION:The insertion part 3 of the endoscope is provided with a rotatable nozzle member 31 adjacently to the operation part side end of a curved part 6 at the outer periphery of a member 32 which links the flexible pipe 5 of the insertion part 3 with the curved part 6. Internal teeth 33 are formed on the internal surface of the nozzle member 31, and the direction and quantity of rotation are supplied to a transmission wire 37 with an operation knob 39 provided to the operation part 2 to drive and rotate the nozzle member 31 selectively through a small gear and the internal teeth 33. The nozzle 46 for injection the liquid is formed at the part of a circumferential groove 45 formed in the inner peripheral surface part of the nozzle member 31, so high-pressure liquid, e.g. air is jetted from the nozzle 46 in the radial direction of the insertion part 3 to float the insertion part 3 with the generated thrust, thereby observing a target position.
