Abstract:

PURPOSE: To make accurate three-dimensional measurement of a subject by linearly movably holding a fixing part while regulating its rotation, detecting the moving quantity thereof, converting an observed image to an image signal, storing the detected information of the moving quantity and image information and making arithmetic operation in accordance with the image information and detected information in respective positions.
CONSTITUTION: The base part 5 of an endoscope 1 is fixed to the access port 7 of a jet engine 6 by screwing down the lock screw 40 of a mounting and holding part 14. The visual field direction of the endoscope 1 is directed toward the flaw of a blade and the image in a frame memory is recorded on a hard disk(HD). The position signal from a linear encoder 19 is taken and recorded. Next, a pinion 17 is turned to move a sliding cylinder 15 in an axial direction. Another sheet of the image and the position signal of the linear encoder 19 are then recorded. This image is called out and the points where the flaw begins and ends are assigned. The length of the subject in the space is calculated by using two sets of these points. The measurement with the ordinary endoscope is made possible without requiring special mechanisms for the front end.
