Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize an engine start-up control device capable of curbing a cost increase and reliably starting up an engine.SOLUTION: An engine start-up control device comprises: a starter which starts up an engine; at least two starter drive circuits to drive the starter; and failure diagnosis means which allows a first starter drive circuit, one of the two starter drive circuits, to drive the starter for an initial start-up of the engine and performs failure diagnosis of a second starter drive circuit, the other starter drive circuit different from the first starter drive circuit, when an engine automatic restart condition is met for the first time after the engine is automatically stopped by engine automatic stop means.
