Abstract:
To reduce manufacturing cost; to improve durability and reliability; and to reduce a seating sound.
This engine valve 1 has a shade part 2 and a shaft part 3 constituted with metallic glass as a raw material and a chip 4 composed of an abrasion resistant material arranged on the tip of the shaft part 3. These shade part 2, shaft part 3 and chip 4 are integrally molded by precision casting. Here, the chip 4 composed of a heat resistant material is arranged in a position corresponding to the tip of the shaft part 3 as a core, and the shade part 2, the shaft part 3 and the chip 4 are integrally molded by casting while pressurizing the metallic glass as the raw material.
