Title:
ENGINE WITH FIVE-VALVE TYPE COMBUSTION CHAMBER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2017194047
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide combustion chambers of a four-cycle engine where combustion of mixture gas facing an exhaust valve is hard to produce knocking action.SOLUTION: A first exhaust valve 9, three intake valves 11, 12 and 13 and a second exhaust valve 10 are arranged in this described order along an inner periphery of a cylinder 1. An electric discharge part for a first spark plug 4 is installed between the first exhaust valve 9 and the second exhaust valve 10. Two squish area spaces 5 and 6 are formed between two bottom surfaces of the first intake valve and the third intake valve and the upper surface portion of the piston at the time of a dead top center. Increasing in temperature of a part of the mixture gas moved into the two squish area spaces is restricted under influence of temperature drop due to descending action of the piston during the combustion stroke.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
