The support device for a learner to learn English conversation using a personal computer so that the learner can correctly listen to the pronunciation of a native speaker and can speak with pronunciation close to that of a native speaker is provided with an obscure sound storage section for the five English vowels (a, e, i, o, u), a double consonant storage section for double consonants, an abbreviated conversation voice recording section for abbreviated conversation voices, a voice input means for the learner to input these obscure sounds, double consonants or abbreviated conversation voices, a learner's pronunciation storage section, a voice reproduction means, a voice comparison means to compare the pronunciation of the learner with that of a native speaker to pass a judgement, and a comparison result informing means, and is so constituted that the learner learns English conversation in the order of 'mastering obscure sounds' → 'mastering double consonants' → 'mastering abbreviated conversation voices'.
