Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an enterokinetic function examining agent and a method of application of the enterokinetic function examining agent orally ingestible without a feeling of resistance, allowing the low-cost, simple and accurate examination of enterokinetic function, preservable for a long period of time and also suitable for the examination of solid discharge function.
SOLUTION: An X-ray contrast medium 2 is mixed in a thermosetting ground 1, baked and manufactured as solid food. The X-ray contrast medium 2 can be orally ingested with gusto. Age-based simple X-ray photographing allows the motion of the thermosetting ground 1 to be grasped as the time fluctuation of distribution of the X-ray contrast medium 2, so that the motion of food in a digestive tract can be directly and quantitatively grasped by the simple, low-cost examination. This enterokinetic function examining agent is suitable for the examination of solid discharge function of the stomach because of entering the stomach as a food lump and taking time to digest, and can be reserved in a hospital or the like because of good keeping quality.
