To provide an envelope containing a packaged item for an improved efficiency in opening and for useful use after opening.
The method for producing this envelope containing a packaged item comprises the steps of: storing a flat packaged item 1 having roughly the same shape as the bottom part 4 of a gusset bag 2 which has a tubular part 3 formed with a handle 5 for holding and the rectangle bottom part 4 closing one end of the part 3; superimposing the item 1 on the part 4 so that each edge of the item 1 meets each side of the part 4; folding the gusset 6 of the part 3 inward to flatten the part 3; folding the flattened part 3 from both sides diagonally relative to the folding line 9 of the gusset 6 for forming a chevron with its center protruding more than both its ends; and fitting and fixing the part 3 in a chevron on the part 4.
