Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an environment prediction system and environment prediction method that highly precisely predict a future driving environment of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An environment prediction system in accordance with the present invention is an environment prediction system that predicts an environment of a vehicle, and includes a sensor information acquisition unit that acquires measured values of an environment which include at least one of a wind velocity, atmospheric pressure, temperature, and humidity and which are obtained by environment sensors mounted in a vehicle, an image acquisition unit that acquires a photographic image of a camera which is mounted in the vehicle and images the outside of the vehicle, an image recognition unit that analyses the photographic image and acquires meteorological information, an environment information recording unit that records the measured values and meteorological information in relation to time information, and an environment prediction unit that acquires the measured values and meteorological information from the environment information recording unit, and predicts the future environment of the vehicle on the basis of time changes in the measured values and the meteorological information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
