Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide a bidirectional linear solenoid with a permanent magnet which equivalently functions same as the non-polarity one.
CONSTITUTION: A plunger 10 is formed by fixing a cylindrical magnet 11, which is magnetized in N and S poles in axial direction, on the center part of a shaft 12 which can be moved in lest and right directions. Cylindrical poles 15 and 16 are arranged on the outer circumference of the plunger part 10 through the intermediary of a void 19 in the length (l), and magnetic gaps 17 and 18 with length (δ) are provided between the inner circumference of the cylindrical poles 15 and 16 and the outer circumference of the plunger 10. Accordingly, even when the position of the cylindrical magnet 11 is shifted from x<1/2 to x<(L-1/2), no attraction force works on the plunger part 10, because the attraction force of the plunger part 10 to the cylindrical poles 15 and 16 is in balance, and the linear solenoid is brought into an equivalently non-polarized state.
