Abstract:
To provide both an ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer having a new structure and a method for producing the same.
This method for producing the ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer comprises hydroborating 1,4-polybutadiene as a raw material in a solvent and further oxidizing and hydroxylating the resultant product. In the method, the hydroborating reaction is carried out in a nongelled state of the resultant solution.
