Abstract:
PURPOSE: To eliminate the need for a large-scale reaction body, and to reduce cost through the miniaturization and lightening of the whole by inserting a casing into the hollow section of a casing gripper, installing a preceding excavat ing device at a front end and a body of revolution at an end section and mount ing a main excavating device on the body of revolution.
CONSTITUTION: A small-size jack 25a is gripped, and 25b is opened. The small- size jacks are set respectively under the state, in which an expansion jack 24a is elongated, and the excavator is pulled back and reaction is generated in a base machine 1. Preceding excavation is conducted by a device 4, and a casing 3 is pushed in. Only the jack 25b is released, and the jack 24a is extended and devices lower than a frame 21 are pushed down. A body of rovolution 5 is turned simultaneously, and main excavation is performed by the device 6. The jack 24a is stretched to its full length, the casing 3 is grasped again by the jack 25b, and the ground is dug down through main excavation. When the expansion jack 24b is extended to its full length and the ground is dug down, the casing is shrunk, and the device 6 is lifted. Accordingly, only small reaction at the time of preceding excavation may be received, and the required work space can be narrowed.
