Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a new expression cassette enabling the production of an useful material such as an adenylate kinase in an extreme amount in which the objective heterogene and a terminator are combined at the downstream side of a promotor of a specific base sequence inducible by the addition of methanol or the like.
SOLUTION: A new expressing cassette prepared by combining the objective heterogene at the downstream side of a promotor inducible by the addition of methanol and/or glycerol, whose base sequence is obtained by deleting, substituting or adding one or more bases to the base sequence of formula I, and combining a terminator which is obtained by deleting, substituting or adding one or more bases to the base sequence of formula II at the further downstream side. This expression cassette can produce an useful product such as an adenylate kinase, cytochrome C or peroxidase in an extreme amount. The expression cassette is obtained by integrating the objective heterogene between a promotor derived from an alcohol oxidase gene contained in a methanol yeast and a terminator.
