Abstract:
PURPOSE: To produce the subject composition excellent in elongation set, mechanical strength, oil resistance, etc., useful for automotive part items, e.g. boots by compounding a chlorinated ethylene polymer, an acid acceptor, an amine salt of polyhydric alcohol and a mercaptotriazine compound in specific ratios.
CONSTITUTION: The objective composition consisting of (A) 100 pts.wt. of chlorinated ethylene polymer, (B) 1.0-15 pts.wt. of a metal compound serving as an acid acceptor (e.g. oxide of group II metal or group IVa metal) and/or a hydrotalcite of the formula MgaMeb(OH)cCO3.nH2O [Me is Al, Cr or Fe; (a) is 1-10; (b) is 1-5; (c) is 10-20; (n) is 0-8], (C) 0.1-10 pts.wt. of an amine salt of polyhydric alcohol (e.g. cyclohexylamine salt of ethylene glycol) and (D) 0.01-5.0 pts.wt. of a mercaptotriazine compound of formula I (R1 is mercaptoamino group).
