Abstract:
PURPOSE:To obtain a prescribed silencing effect in an exhaust pipe without causing the necessity for using a silencer, by providing plural resonance chambers, equipped with a resonace hole in one side of the neighboring branch exhaust pipes, in the plural branch exhaust pipes parallelly arranged while equipped with confluent parts in suitable places. CONSTITUTION:An exhaust device 2 is equipped with a catalytic converter 4 in its head part, and two branch exhaust pipes 5, 6 parallelly extended to the tail end part are connected to the converter while plural confluent pipes 7-10 are provided between the pipes 5, 6. Here resonance chambers 16-20, in which a resonance hole 11-15 is equipped in one side of the pipe 5, 6, are provided in front and rear parts of the pipes 7, 10 and the pipes 5, 6 between each pipe 7-10. These resonance chambers 16-20 are zigzag provided to each pipe 5, 6 while formed to integral construction with the pipes 5, 6 and pipes 7-10 further constituted capable to be combined as a divided form.
