Abstract:
To provide technique capable of improving exhaust emission control capacity in an exhaust emission control device.SOLUTION: An exhaust emission control device for an internal combustion engine includes an upstream side catalyst arranged relatively on an upstream side in an exhaust flow passage through which exhaust gas discharged from the internal combustion engine flows, and a downstream side catalyst provided on a downstream side of the upstream side catalyst in the exhaust flow passage and having oxygen storage capacity. The oxygen storage capacity of the upstream side catalyst is lower than that of the downstream side catalyst, and at least one of the upstream side catalyst and the downstream side catalyst has a NOx storage reduction function.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
