PURPOSE: To provide an exhaust gas purifying device capable of restraining the progress of deterioration of purifying performance for exhaust gas.
CONSTITUTION: A honeycomb-like catalyst carrier 1 is constituted by winding a metallic flat plate and a metallic corrugated plate in the mutually overlapped state. The catalyst carrier 1 is arranged in an exhaust pipe 2 of an internal combustion engine. Many louvers 6 are provided on the way of the passage through which exhaust gas passes in the catalyst carrier 1, and the flow of exhaust gas becomes the turbulent flow by these louvers 6. A catalyst layer is formed on the front surface of the catalyst carrier 1. Platinum and rhodium are carried on a turbulent flow part 7 as a part on which the louvers 6 are arranged and the upstream part 8 three times of those on the other ranges.
