Abstract:
PURPOSE: To protect an exhaust gas gathering pipe for gathering exhaust gas from an exhaust passage of an outboard engine.
CONSTITUTION: An exhaust pipe 13, extended downward from an engine E of an outboard engine 0, is covered with exhaust pipe covers 32, 33 for partitioning a passage of cooling water in the periphery of the exhaust pipe. The base end of an exhaust gas gathering pipe 34, passing through the exhaust pipe covers 32, 33, is inserted into the inside of the exhaust pipe 13, and a point end of the pipe 34 is closed by a mountable/removable plug 36. The exhaust gas gathering pipe 34 is stored in the inside of an engine cover 1, removably supported to an upper part of an under case 2, and protected front damage due to colliding against the other article. Exhaust gas is gathered from the exhaust gas gathering pipe 34 in a condition that the engine cover 1 is removed.
