Abstract:
To provide an exhaust gas purification system and an exhaust gas treatment method capable of decomposing and denitrating nitrous oxide and nitrogen oxide that can be generated in a marine diesel engine using ammonia as part of fuel, without separately enlarging an installation space, and further capable of effectively using excess energy generated in the engine.SOLUTION: According to one aspect of the invention, an exhaust gas treatment system and an exhaust gas treatment method are provided. The exhaust gas treatment system comprises a first treatment unit and a second treatment unit. The first treatment unit is installed between an exhaust valve of an engine and an exhaust receiver and, in particular, decomposes nitrous oxide. The second treatment unit is configured to denitrate, in particular, nitrogen oxide contained in exhaust gas having passed through the first treatment unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
