Abstract:

To prevent lowering of cooling capacity of an EGR cooler.

A guide protruding portion 120b for directing a cooling flow of water which has flowed into a cooling water passage 120 from a cooling water communicating path 120a, is provided at a diagonal portion in the passage 120, opposite to the diagonal portion wherein the path 120a is provided. Thus, the diagonal portion opposite to the diagonal portion wherein the path 120a is provided, can be prevented from becoming a dead water region (stagnant pool). Accordingly, in the diagonal portion opposite to the diagonal portion wherein the path 120a is provided, cooling water can be prevented from being boiled, thereby preventing the cooling capacity of the EGR cooler from being drastically lowered.
