To provide an exhaust system equipped with a tail pipe for minimizing the space between the periphery of the tail pipe and an opening of a vehicle rear part while sufficiently considering the effect of heat during traveling.
In this exhaust system equipped with an exhaust pipe 1 and the tail pipe 2 connected to the exhaust pipe 1 and provided in a protruding condition in the opening 3 in the vehicle rear part 4, the tail pipe 2 is constituted by a first part A2 and a second part A3, a diameter D of the first part A2 is made smaller than a diameter D1 of the second part A3 and formed into a trumpet shape, the second part A2 is set at a position apart by a predetermined space S1 from the opening 3 at the periphery of the exhaust system in a condition I before warm-up, and the predetermined space S1 is set smaller than a space S2 between the thermally expanded tail pipe 2 and the opening 3 after a condition II after completion of warm-up of the exhaust system.
