To provide an exposing unit and an imaging apparatus in which the quantity of light emitted from a light emitting element can be utilized efficiently.
The exposing unit comprises an organic LED 2 disposed at one end of a light guide tube 1 and emitting light depending on desired image information. Light 3 emitted from the organic LED 2 is transmitted through the light guide tube 1 while being reflected or not reflected on the inner surface thereof and guided onto a photosensitive body 10 where the light 3 exposes the surface of the photosensitive body 10 to produce a desired electrostatic latent image. Since the light can be transmitted through the light guide tube 1 efficiently, the quantity of light emitted from the organic LED 2 can be utilized efficiently.
