Abstract:
To provide an external gear pump which enables improvement of pump efficiency.SOLUTION: An external gear pump includes: a pair of a driving gear 2 and a driven gear 3; a pump casing 1; a gear housing chamber 13 which is formed within the pump casing 1 and houses the driving gear 2 and the driven gear 3 in an engaging state; a suction chamber 14 formed at one side of an engagement part of the driving gear 2 and the driven gear 3 within the pump casing 1; and a discharge chamber 15 formed at the other side of the engagement part within the pump casing 1. A slit 16 which is open only at one end is formed in a circumferential direction within a sliding wall, on which the driving gear 2 or the driven gear 3 slides, of the pump casing 1 (11) at the suction chamber 14 side, and a cantilever sliding piece 17 is provided on the sliding wall.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
