Abstract:
PURPOSE: To attain quick external page control and to improve the processing efficiency, by counting the slot number paging out in a computer system and selecting the connected slot grops.
CONSTITUTION: If the necessity of external page assignment takes place in the processing of an on-line program 12, when a control section 13 assigns the external page, the external page files are grouped into some groups and the external page is controlled in unit of the corresponding group. This group is taken as a slot group and when it is required for m-paging out in an arbitray page-out event, a slot group having m-page vacancy is selected.
