PURPOSE: To provide the title extra-heavy concrete without exhibiting an abnormal breaking characteristic, appropriate for the structural wall for shielding radiation, and having about 5.0 sp.gr. by using an extremely short deformed steel bar as the coarse aggregate.
CONSTITUTION: The cut pieces of a deformed steel bar are used as the coarse aggregate to obtain concrete having extremely high sp.gr. The diameter of the deformed steel bar as the coarse aggregate is selected from the maximum coarse aggregate dimension (L). For example, the diameters of 38mm and 22mm are preferably used, when the dimension L is standardized as 40mm and 25mm. The obtained deformed steel bar is cut by a shearing-type reinforcing steel cutter to the length of the coarse aggregate dimension, and many reinforcing steel pieces 1 are produced. In case of prepacked concrete for example, a lower structure 2 is firstly constructed, the reinforcing bars 3 are assembled from a specified place, and then a form 4 and an injection pipe 5 are set. Many reinforcing steel pieces 1 are charged in the form 4, thrusted, and spread, mortar is injected from the pipe 5, and the pipe 5 is gradually pulled out in accordance with the progress.
