Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a face-to-face support system for supporting the case that users have a chance to meet each other.
SOLUTION: The face-to-face support system periodically acquires position information of individual users and stores them in a database 128, using such functions as GPS contained in a portable information terminal 112 (portable telephone, PHS, etc.), carried by the user. It constructs a behavior model of each user, based on a history of stored position information, and knows the latest position information of each user and a schedule each user previously registered in advance. When one user wants to meet another user, the system estimates a facing position at a desired date and time using the behavior model, the latest position information, and the schedule information of the other user desired to meet, and informs the one user desiring to meet thereof, thus supporting that the users have a chance to meet.
