Title:
FACSIMILE EQUIPMENT HAVING AUTOMATIC ANSWERING TELEPHONE RECORDING FUNCTION
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPH1174990
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To notice who records an automatic answering telephone and also where substitutional receiving is performed by re-preserving information which is stored in a memory that does not perform battery backup to a memory which performs battery back up when a main power supply is off. SOLUTION: When a main power supply 18a of facsimile equipment is turned off due to service interruption and being off of a main power supply plug socket, it is confirmed whether voltage value of capacitive auxiliary power supply falls <= a fixed value (threshold). When the voltage value of the auxiliary power supply falls <= the threshold, it is confirmed whether information preserved in a volatile RAM 9 exists. If information is not preserved in the RAM 9, various functions such as an automatic answering telephone recording function are stopped and information preservation processing is finished. On the other hand, if information is stored in the RAM 9, management information such as the number of the other party and a telephone receiving time is preserved in a nonvolatile RAM 11, various functions are stopped and information preservation processing is finished.
