Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a facsimile equipment capable of being connected to a hand scanner to perform maintenance, etc., of the hand scanner.
SOLUTION: A central control section 9 issues a control command to a hand scanner 3 via a communication control section 4. The hand scanner 3 reports a control result according to the command and it is displayed on an LCD display section 5b. In the case of selecting 'print' of image data stored in the hand scanner 3, the central control section 9 issues a print command of image data to the hand scanner 3. Then the hand scanner 3 sends the image data to the facsimile equipment and the data are stored in an image memory 6. Then the image data are read from the image memory 6 and printed out by a printer 8.
