PURPOSE: To automatically transmit facsimile to the next destination and to improve efficiency in the case of transmitting a lot of originals to plural destinations by adding an OCR function to the facsimile equipment so as to read the facsimile number of the destination to transmit data.

CONSTITUTION: The facsimile transmitting destination number is described on an OCR read sheet, the read sheets are overlapped in front of the respective originals to be transmitted, and they are set on a facsimile paper sheet storage stand 1. The facsimile equipment sucks the set paper sheets one by one by sucker 2. For the sucked paper sheets, a paper sheet check mechanism 3 checks whether they are OCR sheets or transmitting originals and when it is judged that they are the OCR sheets, the paper sheets are encoded, recognized and stored in a storage device 5 by an OCR read part 4. When the paper sheets are judged as the transmitting originals, the originals are scanned by a scanner mechanism 6, converted to dot images and transmitted to a facsimile network by a transmitting mechanism 7 according to the transmitting destination number shown at the storage device 5.
