PURPOSE: To obtain the facsimile equipment which automatically generates an invitation card from bibliographic items written on a visiting card and automatically sends it to the desired persons.

CONSTITUTION: The bibliographic items written on the visiting card are read out by a card reader 1 and converted by an optical reader 2 into character data. The character data are stored in a memory 5 and an editing device 6 edits data on a model of an invitation card previously stored in a memory 7 and the character data stored in the memory 5 to automatically generate the invitation card. An interface 9 sends the generated invitation card to a facsimile main body 10, which sends the invitation card to a 1st page.
