Abstract:

To transmit picture data to a LAN designated by a transmission-side without increasing the number of facsimile equipments by providing plural LAN interfaces and sharing the facsimile equipment in plural independent LAN.

A cable LANi/f122 is the interface for connecting the facsimile equipment to a cable LAN 125 and a cable LANi/f123 is the interface for connecting the facsimile equipment to a cable LAN 126. The cable LANi/f122 and the LANi/f123 are controlled by cable/radio LAN control part 124. One facsimile equipment is connected to plural and independent LANs by providing plural LAN interfaces for the single facsimile equipment. When an identifier for identifying plural LANs is received, the plural LAN interfaces are switch- controlled based on the identifier.
