PURPOSE: To provide a falling off alarm device for an electromagnetic magnet device which, in the case where the electromagnetic magnet defectively attracts an attracted material, automatically detects a defective attraction and gives an alarm.

CONSTITUTION: An A.C. signal sent from an A.C.signal source 6 is supplied to a magnet coil 1 through a resistance R and a D.C.element capacitor C, and causes A.C.voltage at both the ends of the magnet coil 1 according to the value of its inductance. The A.C.voltage is detected through an A.C.detection circuit 7, and when the A.C.voltage does not exceed a fixed value, an output is supplied from a comparison apparatus 8 to an alarm circuit 10. The alarm circuit 10 issues an alarm under a condition where, when an electric power source 2 is applied to the magnet coil 1, an enabling signal outputted from a D.C detection circuit 4 is being supplied.
