To provide a family display plate where esthetic expression which is suitable for displaying a family crest is obtained in spite of simple structure by utilizing material of glass, which can be exhibited at any place, and which is proper to be used standing like a family crest shield.

On the rear side of a transparent or opaque glass plate, the family crest is carved in relief by a fixed pattern by etching (lithography) working technique, and coloring of the family crest is performed to a carved depression by painting. Thus, a space between colored parts is glass material which is transparent or opaque, and the colored parts are seen through from a front side.
