Title:
FAN FOR AIR COOLING
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS60140028
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To obtain an air cooling fan for which a radiator is not needed, by constituting the fan in such a manner that a plurality of grooves are provided on each rotary blade so that they spread outwardly from the base of a blade, and by adhering a fibrous body on the whole surface of a blade.

CONSTITUTION: Grooves 8 are provided to the axis part 10 of a fan, while grooves 2 in the shape of vein are provided on each fan blade 1 outwardly from each root. A fibrous body which is not shown is adhered on the whole surface of a blade 1. In this constitution, when water is fed into the axis part 10 of a fan, it flows from a groove 8 through grooves 2 by the centrifugal force of a fan, sucked up by the capillary action of a fibrous body, spread over the whole surface of a blade 1 to cool the air from the fan, This arrangement makes a radiator unnecessary, and the cooling effect can be obtained by a simple structure.
