PURPOSE: To improve the operation characteristic of a fan when allowing the fan head to move in an elevated region and using the fan as a circulator, by providing an interlocking switch allowing automatic changeover of the fan to a lower air flow while permitting said switch to interlock with the transfer of the fan head from its depressed region to elevated region.
CONSTITUTION: When turning an arm 3 to hold it in a position where it is held in approximately vertical state, in case a fan is used as a circulator in winter, a movable contact piece 20a separates, as said operation advances, from a fixed contact piece 20b to turn off an interlocking switch 20, allowing an operating piece 3b to strike on a stopper 22. On the other hand, a movable contact piece 21a is pressed down to make contact with the fixed contact piece 21b, so that an interlocking switch 21 may be turned on. Accordingly, an oscillating motor 5 is turned off, while the low speed tap (not illustrated) of a fan motor 6 is forcibly selected, and fan blades 7 are turned with a low speed, enabling the air within a room to be circulated by the above described easy operation.
