Abstract:
To cope with an increase of a DC voltage during a regenerative operation, and restrain higher harmonics.reactive power to be generated in a rectifier.
This system has the rectifier 13 comprising a diode, a self- exciting converter 14 comprising a self-arc-extinguishing type semiconductor element (for example, thyristor), DC circuit breakers 17, 18 provided in the output sides of the rectifier 13 and the converter 14, and a circuit breaker control circuit 19 for controlling closing/opening for the DC circuit breakers 17, 18.
